Texas is the 14th worst state for teacher’s salaries

2013.12 money-packs-163497_1280If you’re a teacher in Texas, then you’re probably making less than if you were a teacher in another state. In fact, Texas is the 14th worst state for teacher’s salaries (reports Culturemap).

Their source is from the National Center for Education Statistics. “According to the NCES data, the current average salary for teachers is about $1,000 less than it was during the 2011-2012 school year.”

Yikes! So teachers are actually making less money than they were two school years ago.

The best state for salary? New York ($75,279).
