Most parents haven’t started saving for college

More than half the parents surveyed said that they haven’t started saving for their children’s college years, reports CBS MoneyWatch. That’s a problem, especially as college costs rise.

Most parents surveyed responded with a desire to provide support and financial help to their children for college education. For some, that may mean defering on retirement or saving for retirement.
