Choosing a major in college is one of the hardest choices you’ll have to make.
Get a job. When deciding, take into consideration that the degree is going to have to help you get a job after you graduate. This is especially important if you’re going to graduate with student loans.
Lifestyle (and salary) matters. Also consider how much money you’ll want to make. Do you want to be able to afford the townhouse, or just be able to split the rent on a small apartment? Take into consideration the lifestyle you want to live, then figure out what kind of salary you’re going to need. Working for a small non-profit may be fulfilling, but it’s probably not going to pay for the three-week trek to the Greek islands.
Have some fun. One last thing, just make sure you don’t hate it. (That’s from me.)
