A Teenager’s View on Social Media

instagram-512-blackFacebook is dead to teens, according to this Medium post (and thousands upon thousands of others online). That’s not a surprise. And Twitter never quite got off the ground for this group.

Neither is it s surprise (to me ) that Instagram and Snapchat rank high in usage. Instagram is the de facto sharing app for teens (and young adults). And Snapchat is rapidly rising in popularity.

The popularity of Tumblr is the one that always surprises me. I know that it has overtaken Instagram as the fastest growing social platform, and that alone merits some attention.

So now you know, if you want to keep up with your teen connect with them on Instagram and Snapchat. And don’t be “stalkery.”
